PRavasi Alumni Nishulk (PRAN)-BJANA clinic
Dr. Avinash Gupta, alongside fellow Indian-American physicians, founded the PRavasi Alumni Nishulk (PRAN)-BJANA clinic in Ranchi to enhance healthcare access through telehealth and medical camps. This initiative, now known as PRAN-BJANA, became instrumental during the catastrophic second wave of COVID-19 in 2021, providing critical medical relief to those in desperate need. Demonstrating unwavering dedication, Dr. Gupta and his wife, Dr. Geeta Gupta, established a free telemedicine helpline that successfully attended to over 1,000 patients via Zoom, ensuring that essential medical guidance reached individuals who were unable to visit hospitals. Dr. Gupta collaborating with fellow doctors and social workers to coordinate the delivery of medicines and oxygen concentrators to India. His tireless efforts culminated in raising an impressive $150,000 for medical relief, significantly impacting countless lives.
The PRAN-BJANA clinic has also expanded its reach through free health camps in various villages across Jharkhand and Bihar, providing vital services such as ambulance access, telemedicine consultations, and complimentary medications and tests. To date, the clinic has seen and assisted more than 5,000 patients, embodying the spirit of compassion and commitment to community health that Dr. Gupta champions.
